WCHT 2026 Web Updates

WCHT is updating its website and email newsletter for 2026. We're reorganizing the front page to make things easier to find, and are going to start sending out a more detailed monthly update email. These email will be formatted as blog posts and posted here to make them easier to find.

We'll also be posting new information for our 2026 board member elections. We are planning an event for our membership around April to vote on our project proposals for the next year. We are accepting nominations for the 2026-2027 Board of Directors here. 

2026 Members Manual

More details about WCHT's future plan will be included in the soon-to-be released 2026 Members Manual. This document will go more in depth on WCHT's all-volunteer structure and the different systems being built to run it. We plan to have this document ready around February, and will make more announcements about our election event this spring when we release it. 

New Email Newsletter

Before then, expect an email from a new WCHT address to confirm your subscription to our newsletter list. We plan to have one monthly email roundup of everything happening within WCHT as the main way of keeping the community updated going forward. 

This is part of us leveling up WCHT administrative capabilities to be able to take on more building projects. You can help too: if you want to create a toolkit for building affordable community-controlled housing, become a member here, and bring your ideas to a Board Meeting here. 

We have the skills to build all the houses we need. Let's put it all together in 2026!
